Spier handles more weddings per season than any other estate in our calendar. The venue runs a tight machine — coordinator team is among the best in the Cape Winelands — and the sound brief integrates into their established run-of-day rather than competing with it.
Three spaces: the Manor House for ceremony + intimate dinner (40-80), the Vineyard tent for medium-large receptions (100-180), and the courtyard for cocktail hour and after-party blend. The Vineyard tent is where the dancefloor lives for most weddings.
The Vineyard tent is a stretched-canvas structure with vineyard rows directly outside — that means sound bleeds beyond the marquee fast. We programme louder than the marquee feels from inside, because the closer guests outside the tent need to feel included. The Manor House interior is the inverse: tight, contained, low-volume premium sound only.
Vehicle access right to the tent — set up runs smooth. Power feed includes a dedicated 32A line for the sound rig. Spier's tech team is on-site and helpful — they understand mixed-vendor coordination better than most venues we work at.
